Our Committment

As a business built around the joy of being outdoors, we’re deeply committed to protecting the natural world we love. That means minimising our environmental impact wherever possible—starting with thoughtful choices in how we operate. We work closely with our suppliers to use the most sustainable packaging solutions available and ensure all our own packaging is fully recyclable. Through the TerraCycle Zero Waste Box scheme, we also provide a way to recycle hard-to-recycle plastics responsibly. We're proud to maintain a zero food waste policy in our boxes and are continuously evaluating every part of our business to drive meaningful, lasting improvements for the planet.

Our Boxes

Our double-walled boxes are lined with a 100% cardboard insulated liner - called a BoxyBag. Tested to keep ingredients cool for up to 48 hours, this entire system is practical and 100% kerbside recyclable.

Frozen gel packs are included in each box which can be re-used again and again in picnics, lunchboxes and travel cool-boxes. Once they are finished with, the gel liquid can be disposed of simply down the kitchen sink and the outer wrapping taken to a supermarket collection or returned to us to add to our Zero Waste Box collection.

Send Flexi-Plastics Back To Us!

We are working with all of our suppliers to ensure we are on the path to eliminating waste in all areas of our business. Flexible plastics are currently considered "hard to recycle" in England - not because we don't have the facilities to recycle them but because we don't currently collect them as part of council kerbside recycling initiatives.

We will enclose a pre-paid envelope in all of our Glamp Gourmet meal-kits so that our lovely customers can easily return all rinsed, flexible plastics to us by popping them in a post box. We will collect and collate the plastics in our Zero Waste Box and ship them to TerraCycle who will turn them into new products such as playground equipment, plant pots and benches.
